The Bible is 2,000 years out of date and we have to move on. But there
are facts about life that are fundamental and independent of era. The
undeniable
facts in early evolution (loss of pineal eye during cold to warm-blood
interface across most land vertebrate species and the resulting arrival of
REM
and new types of 'abstract' mentation such as dreaming that were centrally
evoked and not arising from environmental signals) resonates in the third/
primal eye
mythologies that are common to most world human-era cultures.

MVT is the all-conquering philosophy because it is true and none can refute
it.

What you are saying isn't a strictly materialist position. Behaviourists
deny
consciousness, whereas you admit to such a phenomena as an "artifact"
of other, physical processes. So the dichotomy remains!! MVT overcomes
Leibnitz' obections to dualism because both the virtual sensor AND the
sense-data are neural information of the same 'type' running on the same
massively parallel wetware. The mind/ self and the contents of thought
are both required for the hallucination (phantom/ trick of nature) to work
.......
