No problem. Though I am familiar with the bible, I'm probably best
considered an agnostic with atheistic tendencies.
In that verse from Matthew from the WE translation that I quoted here,
Jesus spoke of the kingdom of heaven as "here!", suggesting that the
Greek for "at hand" might be interpreted as something other than
"imminent."
In the verse from Luke, he speaks of "the kingdom of God in our midst,"
which may or may not be the same as "the kingdom of heaven in our
midst." I dunno. And some translators think "in you" is better.
Note that someone else started a new thread called "Where is the kingdom
of God?" so you might want to explore the matter there. (Generally I'm
more pre-occupied with questions like "Where are my car keys?" :)
