I quoted Jesus from my dusty memory of a bible translation that I don't
recall. While I distinctly remember the words "in our midst," at the
moment I don't know the verse and translation. Here however is an
equivalent verse from the WE (World-wide English) translation of the
Bible:
Matthew 4:17 "From then on, Jesus began to tell God's word to the
people. He said, `Stop your wrong ways and turn back to God! The kingdom
of heaven is here!"
Apparently the original Greek leaves room for differences of opinion
about the correct translations of these passages. No doubt the
translations are dependant on the beliefs and agendas of the
translators.
