Greg,
I do protest having the Bell Curve included in a list with "racial
profiling, group judgments, eugenics, selective childkilling". IMHO, that
is a perfectly good book pointing out some problems in our society that have
nothing to do with race. Richard Epstein formerly Dean of the University of
Chicago School of Law has pointed out the same set of problems in our society
without reference to race. In addition I have read those same problems,
supposedly more advanced than ours, without reference to race, IQ or to the
work of Richard Epstein. Finally, as I used to go about my profession,
occasionally working in factories in the inner cities, I used to see those
problems personally. And no the problems did not break down along racial
lines.
