I think the word you may be looking for is "amortal". Amortality, while
desirable since it would remove the very last traces of the fear of death,
involves a much higher degree of difficulty than immortality, since it
requires absolute immunity not only from probabilistic physical laws but
also the possibility of outside supervention by more powerful entities
ranging from outside superintelligences to the Matrix Masters. I would
tend to put it into the "things that require ontotechnology" category.
