molecular self repair chain ever invented, called life.

Do you think there's some magical group of atoms which persisted, if we
trace back your lineage to a clump of cyanobacteria, or some autocatalytic
molecular sets simmering in the ursoup? Nope. It's the pattern that
persists, not the atoms. These are indistinguishable, anyway.

So please stop barking up that tree. It isn't even in the right forest.
