Every year I want to go out and do some camping. Like all the others on the
Indian side of my family I don't want to go hunting or fishing. That is just
something I have sometimes done to put meat or fish on the table. But in the
worse way I want to get out where green stuff goes wild.
Every year it is the same, it gets to be mid to late August and it is
too late. I know that I have blown it again.
This year, like you and the Burning Man, I did it again. Then I
stopped, looked around and said to myself, "I have an adult son to go with me
and it may be too late for this year but it is a great time to start early on
next year." We started going. Our effort is modest. There is a state park
nearby. We will take a steak I had put aside for Labor Day and on his day
off we will go to the State Park Picnic Ground and burn that steak.
