If you have a relatively new PC there is a good chance that it already
has a hardware random number generator in what is called the Firmware Hub,
a chip that provides some general-purpose interface functionality. This
is described at
http://developer.intel.com/design/chipsets/manuals/298029.pdf
and
http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/rng/RNG-CAPI.htm
and analyzed by a good crypto consulting house at
http://www.cryptography.com/intelRNG.pdf.
Of course you may be too paranoid to trust this chip, although you are
probably trusting other chips to an even greater degree.
