Why then do seem to feel comfortable making such judgments about human
behavior?

### We are not judging other people's emotions merely from behavior - we
perceive our own emotions and because of the substantial similarities
between the brains of most humans, we are comfortable with extending the
idea of emotionality to others. This does not pertain to gators and mice.
