Yes, I`m sure you will find some lost tribesmen in the deep jungle of Papua
New Guinea who will lovingly embrace you when you show them your upright
middle finger.

Amara is right. I meant, that this gesture comes pretty close to a
gesticulation I do whenever I want to say "cum granum salis" in everyday
conversation - as a real world experience. I did not mean to *question* this
phenomenon and this special illustration by saying: "Take my words with a
grain of salt" .
