Not familiar with the article. Sounds awfully familiar to the Ricochet
network that was online briefly in a few metropolitan markets. I was
given a unit to play with and found that it wasn't practical for the
business user. The latency was so bad that I couldn't maintain a MAPI
session, let alone stream audio or video.
Although I recently heard rumors floating around (probably /.) that
Ricochet was going to turn their network back on, with a speed boost.
Anyone know anything about this?
I still have the modem-unit if anyone has interesting ideas for what to
do with it (Brian? Harvey?)...
