I am glad someone of Anders' stature has stated this. The extropian
community has not displayed any particular wisdom in politics, but
unfortunately politics seems to have become the majority of our posts.

Let us acknowledge that we do not have access to the information
that heads of state have access to. We dont even know what the
real threats are. We are "informed" by news sources that we already
know are intentionally misleading. I was in Seattle last Sunday.
The two major newpapers ran headlines on the same story.
One said "Medical Privacy Laws Tightened." The other said
"Bush Weakens Privacy Rules." News spin?

Let us stick to what we know well. Politics it aint. Let us not be
ashamed to admit we dont know. spike
