I really like the story, Avatar, and I believe Clifford Pickover has
published some of his "Egg" stories recently, as downloadables.

My only fussy critique, might be to add-in, where this story takes place.
Does it fit in the physical universe of the 20th and 21st centuries? Some
sort of conjoined hyperspace, or all in computer-space, inside a neutron or
neutron star?
Hence type 1 and type 2 universes, and farmed stars might also be
computational structures existing only in the abstarct? Great story though
(I am picky).
