This has the ring of truth, to me at least. The 'mathematicians' are bean
counters, the 'covenent with the devil' is obviously the massification of
america as Gatto describes at http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/chapters/8o.htm
, 'darken the spirit' refers to the reason behind compulsory schooling and
'to confine man in the bonds of Hell' is clearly a description of the modern
corporate work environment.
