This is due to inherent limitations of mailing lists (and/or bbs
software). Such technologies will always limit detailed list analysis
excepting either strict and exact standards for subject lines, or lots of
programming.

Many of these limitations can be removed by basing the list on blog software
(e.g. Moveable Type), and while this still involves some programming, it's
easier to accomplish given the structure imposed by the blog format. It
won't help in analyzing the past, but as long as we keep to the current
technologies, it will take 'dozens of hours' to do what you all seem to want
to do.

I'm currently working on a range of ideas involving possibilities inherent
in the blog approach. If any are interested, I'm seeking partners and/or
investors. (Infrastructure is needed more than money, thus I would prefer
partners).
