Oh, one more thing regarding the "Short Report on ACM..."
Remember O. K. Manuel, the iron-rich Sun guy, who's papers were
triggering some discussion here? He was at the ACM in Berlin
a couple of weeks ago.
In the questions after the "Dust Astronomy" (30 min invited) talk
by E. Gruen:
Manuel: "You say that interstellar dust is preserved in
meteorites, but there is absolutely no evidence that that is
true."
Gruen: (pauses) "Umm. A couple of your colleagues would
disagree with you."
Manuel: "Oh, _more_ than a couple colleagues!"
(laughter from he and Gruen and the whole audience)
Moral of the story: if you are a scientist with a kooky idea, you
must have a good sense of humor.
