I found absolutely nothing insane in this article. I can't say it was
brilliant either because that would depend on the specifics and the article
contained none. In general however I don't think there is anything insane
in "special forces units getting more deeply involved in long-term covert
operations in countries where the United States is not at war"; as a matter
of fact it seems like a first rate idea to have something between doing
nothing and total war. True it could cause problems in some areas but
the world's only remaining superpower will never be well loved regardless
of what it does, and anyway, public relations is not everything.
