Anders Sandberg:

Dr. Graps responded:
<<I would say, instead, that the U.S. government don't care about its
image abroad.>>

Thank the singulairty, for that!

<<I'm not sure if the U.S. media is criticizing the U.S. government on
grounds
of moral principles yet but they lately seem to be criticizing on grounds
of economics ('our economy can't afford a war with Iraq'). This is
a new tact. Maybe that means the door is opening to more criticism
within the U.S. borders.

I believe that the reason W has lost momentum is because he has lost clarity.
If he opposes Jihaddi Imperialism, then climbing-down, from every policy
statement that gets made, will lose him support. W, like his daddy, seems to
be lacking in what Bush Sr. called, "that vision thing." Vision means a
deliberate attempt to draw lines against Islamic Imperialists. Vision means
insisting on an energy policy that liberates the US from OPEC oil.
