Brian and Sabine have already responded to this. However, I'll point out
that your reasoning here is terribly poor. I also know Greg Burch well. He
is vice president of Extropy Institute. He owns two lemurs. Therefore,
Extropians must favor owning lemurs. Same logic. BTW, I've never visited
the Posthuman Lounge (no doubt to my loss), so I can't comment on the
content/activity as distinct from the name.

"Misrepresenting" "correct understanding". In other word, you are right,
we are wrong.
I'm glad you clarified what you wrote about special powers. It certainly
sounded like you thought there was a significant possibility that believing
yourself posthuman could produce "special powers". If not, why say that you
are not ruling it out? What if I said: "Sending $10,000 to Extropy
Institute will not necessarily make you an immortal superhuman. But I
wouldn't rule it out."
