You're ignoring socio-sexual factors. Given the human propensity to see
phallic imagery everywhere, combined with the documented propensity
among males to discreetly compare penis lengths whenever possible
('sizing up' the competition), an examination of the 'top 100 posters'
chart on the ExI BBS website (a registered-users-only service),
especially the horizontal bar chart in the last column, may be
instructive.

I consider it possible that a change of identity (as in email address)
that may result in a change of position on this chart may cause
subconscious castration anxiety, to be relieved by gaining position on
the chart via more frequent and vigorous posting.

I have no evidence whatsoever that this applies to Mr Lorrey (who is now
posting from a yahoo address rather than his former datamann.com
address), though it may be a clue as to why my own posting frequency to
this list has increased of late :-)
