The latest update on the Ujaama case, from yesterday's Rocky Mountain
News is at http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/local/article/0,1299,DRMN_15_1299283,00.html:

A Muslim activist with suspected ties to Osama bin Laden's terrorist
network could be out of federal custody by next week, his lawyer says.
   ...
Sears said the transfer to Virginia was made at Ujaama's request in an
effort to shorten the amount of time he will spend in federal custody.

"He agreed this was the best option," Sears said. "Once his obligations
as a material witness are satisfied, he should be a free man again."

"It should take no more than a week."
   ...
Television reports Monday night said paperwork had been found in
Ujaama's home that explained how to poison water supplies.

By federal sources speaking on the condition of anonymity said that
   is not the case.

Hopefully this will all be resolved soon. Of course, Ujaama is a somewhat
special case; not only an American citizen, he is a relative by marriage
to the mayor of Denver (Ujaama's aunt is the mayor's daughter-in-law).
Many people would not be in a position to get this much publicity and
support.
