Lots of people get drunk regularly, and a lot more go to churches every
Sunday (or Saturday, or whatever their religion says). So, even if
material life is better, spiritual health has not improved so much since
the Middle Ages? I like to think yes, since outside material pressures CAN
put a lot of strain on spiritual life, so now we should be quite better in
that department as well. But maybe I'm wrong.
