People often confuse revenge with punishment.
If someone steals from me and is apprehended, I don't just want my
items returned, I want the person involved to have it explained to
him that he has done wrong, and then subjected to punishment
sufficient to deter him from doing it again.
In the case of deliberate murder, execution is the correct
punishment. I carry a signed card in my wallet stating so.
