I recently saw Icke speak in Boston. The group I was
with spoke at length about the audience and their
attraction to the event (including our own).
I came across an article, a while back, saying that
conspiracy theories can be society's way of letting
off steam. Outlandish conspiracy theories have one
thing in common: you can do nothing about it. From
aliens to "shape shiftin' reptilians", there is no
action for remedy. The only unanswered questions at
these things are, "What can I do to take immediate
action against XYZ conspiracy?" Fortunately, it is
never asked because no one WANTS to take immediate
action (unless it's "tuning Them out" or fooling with
chakras and "bad" energies").
So those who are unhappy with, say, September 11th
don't demand cultural changes or new political
direction. Instead they reinforce the status quo
because they do nothing. What can they do against the
Illuminati and the Reptilian Blood Line anyway?
However, like you, I am fascinated by some of these
conspiracy theories.
