The problem with Venice is that it is sinking because
its ground is subsiding, the Med isn't rising nearly
as fast as Venice is sinking. Furthermore, all the
studies that 'measure' global sea level rise fudge
their numbers by adding in the Caspian Sea, which is
land locked and accounts for nearly 100% of global sea
level rise (it's level has gone up by several meters
over the last 40 years after dropping a similar amount
in the early 20th century).
