<<Women and Physical Activity: A Historical Journey
http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/activity/womenhistory.htm>>
Thanks for this link Amara - my friends & I shared a good belly laugh
(sprinkled with some expletives) over this one. So *thats* why its so naughty
to ride a bicycle... ;P

Yes, thats what I mean.
<<Even if sex got in the way of a creative process or professional
commitment, the sidetrack is not that offensive or overtly distracting.>>
I really didn't mean the actual activity of sex itself. I tried to be clear,
but I don't always do a good job of that. For me anyways, its more about
all the stuff that goes along with it - people don't realize how much most
"normal" social activity is indirectly devoted to finding a mate. THAT is the
part that I think takes too much time & is a waste.
<<But being anti-sex would probably take just as much effort.>>
I totally agree. Believe me, if I could just have sex when I wanted it without
investing any emotion, effort, thought, energy or excess time then I'd be all
for it. It just seems like, at this point in my life, its not a priority.
But thats not to say I don't LIKE it (I mean, c'mon! gimme a break!) I think
Mike put it best:
<<Not really ANTI-sex, but I would have loved to be in *command* of
thesex-drive instead of being a slave to the hormone system in my twenties
and thirties. >>
OH NO! You mean this stuff keeps going full force till you're that
old!? Yikes! I thought people would be sick of it by then. I always liked to
use my age as an excuse but there goes that...
*sigh*
I'll repeat: I think gonads are stupid. But maybe its the brain's
fault: Shouldn't the brain be strong enough to resist sexual hormones?
