If Harvey is reffering to Evangelical Christians, their main objection point
is anything to do with abortion; fetal cells, and/or sex. A rather central
topic to us all since since most here would prefer not to sicken and die, or
have someone restrict their personal rights in this regard.

The Left, on the other hand, is violently, against "frankenfoods", nuclear
energy, now, wind energy, because it might interfere with bird migrations,
space exploration, because "If you can't walk the streets on earth with
safety, then we shouldn't go to space!" It is now against research for
hydrogen powered cars because it still forces our dependency on the auto.

It is steadfastly against military weapons research because "its immoral to
spend money on weapons to kill people, because the money would be better
spent on schools, and hospitals, because America is the real rogue state
-London Daily Mirror July 4" Let us say there are luddites everywhere, and
the opponents on the Right are more specific in their opposition, regarding
natalism, whereas the Leftists seem to have take a more general anti-tech
mentality, then ever before.
