Perhaps, but I don't think you will get high technology producing type
intelligence unless you are upright because being smart is of limited
survival value unless you have a free hand that can do things with that
brain power. Anyway, I don't think anybody is sure if this new animal walked
upright or not, and it was probably the most intelligent creature of its
day.
