which seems to have been a miscommunication ... ? What is going on ?
Antinori is now considering suing the French newspaper Liberation
for a similar report.

Antininori threatens suit over human cloning report

(International Herald Tribune's 13 July 'Italy Daily' of a recent
Corriere Della Sera news report. I couldn't find the original Italian
version of this story, unfortunately.)

Maverick gynecologist Severino Antinori threatened French daily
Liberation with legal action over its report that a child he cloned
would be born in December. The 57-year old Roman said that he asked his
lawyers to defend his "professional and scientific honor and sense of
seriousness" Antinori said "all the information attributed to the birth
has nothing to do with the serious scientific program that I am
currently doing." Liberation said Antinori had impregnated a woman with
the cloned embryo of an infertile man and the fetus was in good shape.
