The Economist is where I get mine. I don't have a television, so I
can't recommend anything in TV-land.
The International Herald Tribune is reasaonbly good- it has its moments
of not being very smart, but those moments have a lower frequency than
other newspapers I know. (http://www.iht.com)
I also am making more use of radio over the Internet, it helps me to
learn Italian in addition to listening to my favorite radio stations
from the US. You can find a big list of stations giving their live
