As such, the Free State Project is moving along well, it seems. Current
top candidate states to select as the targeted migration state are New
Hampshire and Alaska. For those unaware of the Free State Project, it is
a project to get thousands of libertarian-leaning individuals to move to
one preselected state within a few years in order to radically tip the
political balance in that state toward greater libertarianism.

The finalist state will be selected based on small population,
pre-existing libertarian activism and bias in the electorate, excellent
economics and low taxation, with features that allow for excellent
economic growth in the coming decades as well as having sealine and/or a
border with a foreign country to prevent any possible secession movement
in that state from being easily thwarted by US economic blockade.
