Actually, the holodeck is way cool, Damien. The engineers way grokked
the idea and liked it. And to me, it actually carries more credibility than
other scenarios that I have heard. It takes care of the objections some
propose, such as overpopulation and pensions. Holograms take no space,
use practically no resources, and are unlikely to attempt to reclaim their
former property.
