Strangely enough my rankings were rather similar to
Harvey's, which is a little worrisome (just kidding
Harvey!)
<<<
1. Rand (100%)
2. Hobbes (85%)
3. Nietzsche (82%)
4. Stoics (82%)
5. Hume (79%)
6. Sartre (74%)
7. Epicureans (70%)
8. Aristotle (61%)
9. Cynics (53%)
10. Kant (46%)
11. Plato (46%)
12. Spinoza (46%)
13. Prescriptivism (41%)
14. Bentham (40%)
15. Mill (39%)
16. Ockham (36%)
17. Aquinas (30%)
18. Noddings (28%)
19. Augustine (11%) >>>
I have to say that the rankings were odd... I went through my rabid
Objectivist/Nietzsche phase years ago before I started thinking
deeply about Lao Zi and Mencius and the like.
Rand's justification for her philosophy is in my judgement horseshit,
but that aside it's a step in the right direction. The Stoics and
Neitzsche I have much respect for, but why the hell is HOBBS
on my freakin table. Acht! Ptooiu!
I am ashamed Aquinas is on my list at all... :::sob:::
