After seeing a brief bit on the Ted Williams cryonics debate, my
stepfather said something about cryonics just being a way to make
money (he later admitted that it does have some scientific validity,
though it certainly did not come off that way at first), and I told
him that Alcor probably isn't making that much profit. I know most of
the money goes to keeping patients cold, but does anyone have any idea
of their profit margins?

On a completely different note, my life has been getting vastly more
complicated lately (girlfriends and social lives and jobs, oh my!),
and I simply don't have the time for this list right now. I've
certainly enjoyed my time here, but right now, the signal:noise just
isn't good enough for me. You've all been quite educational and
entertaining, and the world seems much bigger and more hopeful than it
did before. Hopefully I'll make it to the next Extro convention (6?)
and see some of you IRL! Anyone who wants, feel free to drop me a
line, cheshire @ velvet . net or cheshire @ morethanmortal . com.
