TT definitely has a good point. If Transhumanism/Extropianism was to go
"mainstream", I would be afraid that it would become a *dumbed down* version
for the masses. In my opinion that would not be a good thing! Do we really
want it to become the *flavor of the month* in pop culture? It's sad to say,
but the vast majority of the population either is too ignorant, wrapped up in
established dogma, or too lazy to even take Extropian principles to heart and
*really* understand what it's all about. I don't want to sound elitist, but
it's a difficult situation to be in when you don't go along with what the
majority thinks, and I would actually prefer the company of intelligent,
thoughtful, and proactive people over the pervasive TV/Media/Pop culture
masses.

The real question is, how do we get ourselves taken seriously by the status
quo, and lot look like some strange UFO cult?!? I think that getting a spot
on Charlie Rose would be a step in the right direction, because he actually
KNOWS how to conduct a proper interview, and after reading that Crossfire
transcript, that's definitely what's needed. I'm glad to see that Max held
his own, considering the fact that he was being ganged up on by some
ridiculously sophomoric behaivior and commentary. Kudos to Max!

Peace and Happy Building,

Artillo
