Hippie or Hippy, they are generally exchangable in your second
definition. Nobody uses 'hippy' as you describe in the first case,
though the hippo phenomenon of hefty women in spandex is actually
typical of welfare islands, i.e. Democrats, whether they be black or
white trash seems rather immateriel, and age is increasingly a
non-factor as well, to the evident detriment of the rest of us...
