Right on, sister! I was there a few years earlier than you.
What was important about the sixties was the burning urge to
find a different way to see the world and to be in it. To many,
that urge was deep and honest. Oh, there was a lot of hype, a
lot of dope and a lot of dopeyness. There was also a lot of
caring and of willingness to question and to change. But of
course it ultimately became just another "lifestyle" and did not
find deep enough roots to keep many adherents. But it should
not be dismissed as "dippy". Compared to the rampant apathy of
today I miss it!
