If "your country" is the one your email implies, Germany, then yes, your
telco infrastructure was as insanely insecure, perhaps only slightly

I'm just waiting for someone to start the first SRC -- er, Satellite
Relay Chat. ;-)
Of course, the latency would probably get frustrating, but considering
how fraught with Denial of Service attacks EFnet's had, performance
profile of SRC wouldn't be far off ...
