CONTOUR on its way
Update for 2:48 a.m. EDT, Wednesday, July 3:
NASA's $159 million Comet Nucleus Tour (CONTOUR) mission is on its way
into orbit. The Boeing Delta 2 rocket lifted off right on time at
2:47:41 a.m. EDT to begin a nearly 64-minute flight that will place
CONTOUR in a parking orbit over Earth. Weather remained a concern
until about 12 minutes before launch when a problem cloud over the
cape turned transparent, clearing the related rules.
