Very true. I stand corrected. What I meant to say is that maybe there
was not a good foundation for the big Boom and later Bust. Maybe it was
caused by perceptions more than reality. This last recession seems odd
because it started with corporations laying off people, instead of
starting with poor consumer confidence and lagging sales. In other
words, maybe there wasn't really a recession until all the layoffs
caused by people thinking there was going to be a recession.
