Another thing to keep in mind is that bugs are also attracted to people
who regularly shower and use perfume laden soaps. When camping, I've
found that not washing is the best repellent, after about three days no
bug is attracted to you, and your nose adjusts to it, though not those
of your camp mates who continue to wash.
