It depends how you interpret the word. Some people use greed as a
pejorative word meaning wanting too much. By definition, this is bad
because "too much" imply more than is reasonable. People who cheat,
steal or commit fraud have this kind of greed. Other people use the
word greed simply to mean a drive to have more. This can be interpreted
as a good way, a drive to do better at work, do better in business,
improve one's lot in life, provide more for one's family, etc. This
kind of greed is not bad.

By itself, I think greed is a natural desire, such as hunger, lust, or
envy. We can channel our greed to getting what we want in honorable
ways, or we can channel our greed into criminal activities. The greed
itself is not bad, but it is how we respond to it that results in good
or evil.
