It shouldn't be necessary to have to say this, but it probably is:
My comments on obesity should not be construed to mean that I dislike obese
people. I certainly dislike their obesity, but that is not the whole
person. I'm hardly without flaws myself. But I *do* recognize those flaws
and do my best to take responsibility for correcting them. I have noticed
that many many obese people seem to refuse to see their weight as a flaw.
There are even those who believe that they get stronger as they occupy more
space and make a virtue of it.
