Oddly enough, you are wrong. Take the most violent areas of the earth:
Israel/Palestine, Chicago, Washington DC, Rio de Janiero, etc and there
is one characteristic they all share: the average person is prohibited
from posessing arms. It can be said that the suicide/homicide bombings
occuring in Israel occur because less than 4% of the private citizens of
Israel are armed.
