RE: A poem from late last night

I have quite often sat, doing the mall cafe thing, looking at the .... I
think someone in the list recently called them 'strolling contented proles'
or some such (I note in passing that proles used to be without hap- their
lot seems to have improved somewhat :) )............. and wondered if any of
them had the slightest notion of what is soon to happen and, in being an
active contributor to such change, what I would think of me after the event.

I wonder
if we be gods
or demons.

The answer is yes. We are Aristotle, Copernicus and Galilleo, Darwin....
except when they were done, homo-sapiens sapiens only had new memes and the
memes were contained in the craniums of recognisable homo-sapiens sapiens.
This is different. New memes and new packages. Speciation.

I wonder
if we be gods
or demons.

I think I'll take the god option. Not that it's an option. The alternative's
just not on, really.
I can't poetically match Samantha, but "Row, Row, Row your boat, gently down
the stream........" seems kind of appropriate somehow.

Nice poem, Samantha.
