I've just heard that Damien's sf anthology EARTH IS BUT A STAR: EXCURSIONS
THROUGH SCIENCE FICTION TO THE FAR FUTURE (cover art by Anders Sandberg) has
won the 2002 Ditmar Award for the Best Australian SF Collected Work.
Damien's book faced some worthy competition, including Jack
Dann's JUBILEE and two other collections.
A U.S. edition of EARTH IS BUT A STAR is a possibility in the
not-too-distant future.
