This story is at the very margins of the possible, but I wonder if anyone
here is familiar with Dr Russell Beckett's claims concerning the injurious
effects of CO2 metabolism and the longevity-promoting counter-effects of
water rich in manganese bicarbonate?

A national Australian science TV show tonight treated the story with
surprising respect, and interviewed a university gerontologist who'd
examined Dr Beckett's tome and found it at least provocative.
