My thoughts exactly. :-) I'm pretty outspoken about my thoughts on the
Singularity (i.e.: I don't think anything as extreme as many people predict
will actually happen...just an accelerated technological curve, followed in
lockstep by the human adaptability curve), but even divorced from those
thoughts, Eli is extremely arrogant to claim that he *knows* how things are
going to go, and how they will be incomparably better than things now.

First, he needs to get a grip on reality, and second he needs to learn a
thing or two about humility and tact! I do think, though, that his
thoughts are well intentioned. Their execution remains to be seen, however...
