May I throw in one man's opinion of Ayn Rand's female characters? I am a
WM67 that started "noticing girls" back in the 40s. I have read a great deal
ever since I was 7 y. o.
Compared to the female characters being held up to us by the broad
media in those days the female characters of Ayn Rand and Robert A. Heinlein
came as a definite breath of fresh air. I for one refuse to judge either of
those authors by the standards of today. After all their input was part of
the data that formed todays standards.
