I hate to say this. But sometimes I have wondered if some of
the fairly regular folks aren't out to discredit extropians. It
was not newbies that have said some of the more outrageous (imho
of course) things on this list since I have been around.

Are you studiously missing the point? We often don't make
ourselves look all that good here. Does anyone care about that?

Probably as sorry as the general prevailing attitude here to
religion or anything like the s-word.
